Staedtler Ergosoft 156 Aquarell Pencils share the excellent features of the 157 with the added bonus of having a water soluble lead.
This lead is designed to allow the user to create watercolour effects by brushing over the pencil work with water to create a wash.
By pencilling the colour first is is easier and more accurate when working to a border than when using watercolour and a brush alone.
