Returns, Refund, Shortages & Faulty Goods

Please choose carefully as Draftex will not provide a refund or exchange of items if you simply change your mind or make an incorrect choice when ordering.
Notification of returns, refunds, shortages, faulty goods or breakages must be made in writing within 10 calendar days from the date of the invoice. Invoice numbers must be supplied with all such notifications and the product must match invoice description.

Request for return and/or refund will only be accepted if the product is faulty, is not of acceptable quality or does not match our product description. Draftex may elect to return faulty products to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the problem or exchange with replacement item. Draftex will not accept returns where the fault is a result of misuse or neglect.

Depending on the reason for return Draftex Drawing Supplies reserves the right to charge a 20% re-stocking fee with delivery at your cost.

Can I cancel my order?

An order can only be cancelled up to the point it is despatched or if a Special Order Item-until your order is placed with our supplier. We pride ourselves in despatching orders promptly, so to cancel you must contact us immediately using our Contact form before the goods have left our control.

You will receive an email advising you that your order has been shipped. After that point you will need to accept delivery and then return the order to us in accordance with our Refunds and Returns Policy above.

Proof of Purchase

Please note that all returns, refunds, exchanges or repair requests must be accompanied with your tax invoice or receipt to establish Proof of Purchase.

Our guarantee

Exchange of goods will take place free of charge (including return freight charge) for return of goods if due to our error or where goods are agreed to be faulty or damaged.

If a return or exchange arrangement is mutually agreed but not due to our error we reserve the right to request the cost of return of the goods to be borne by the purchaser.

We are unable to provide a refund or exchange in the following circumstances

  • You have changed your mind about a product.
  • If you determine you have found a cheaper option elsewhere.
  • You have bought a gift that you now determine is unsuitable.
  • Your circumstances have changed and you no longer require the goods.
  • If you are unable to provide appropriate proof of purchase documentation.
  • Special Request Items, which include Plan Cabinets which have been made to order.
  • If you have purchased second hand goods where a fault or imperfection has been previously outlined to you.
