Imperfect 5mm White Foam Core Board does not lay completely flat due to a slight difference in tensioning of the clay coated facing paper. This is a technical manufacturing error. When the tension is not quite right the Foam Core Board will bow and not lay completely flat.

Most times slightly warped Foam Core Board will straighten itself when fitted into a frame or disappear when you cut the board down to a smaller size.
