The Staedtler 780C clutch pencil is designed to hold 2mm leads. The knurled chrome finger grip helps provide a great feel and balance. The pocket clip also stops the pencil rolling on inclined drawing boards. The 780C has been a popular choice for the professional for many years. A lead pointer is included at the tip and is easily removed for sharpening.
The Staedtler 788 clutch pencil is designed to hold 2mm leads. It features an all plastic barrel with pocket clip. A budget version of the 780C but lacking the features of the 780C or particularly the Draftex 5230.
