Staedtler Ergosoft colour pencils have a special coating on the outside that gives a beautiful feel whle the lead is available in standard colours or Aquarelle. Aquarelle lead is water soluble so once applied it can be turned in to a watercolour like wash to create a smooth and even colour effect.
